April Aurentz attended Lock Haven University majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education. April is an Instructional Assistant in an Autistic Support Classroom for grades K-12. She is happily married and raising three amazing kids.
April has known Heidi Edwards since their sons were in preschool. When hearing the struggles her neighbor and friend was dealing with, she knew she had to help however she could.
Taking a leave of absence from her school job, April has been the daytime caregiver for Heidi’s twin sister, Holly. Holly is living with ALSP. What turned out as a call to help a friend, has turned into so much more. Holly has taught April about strength, determination, patience, and true love.
April is honored to be a part of Sisters’ Hope Foundation. Finding a cure and giving support to families facing this disease is something she will never stop fighting for.
