Jillian O’Toole
Volunteer Intern
Jillian O’Toole is a first-year genetic counseling student at the University of Pennsylvania. She was born and raised in Massachusetts, and a graduate from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2021. Following graduation, she worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston for two years working primarily with kidney cancer patients and helped to register them for research. As a student at UPenn, Jillian was connected to the Sisters’ Hope Foundation through the Orphan Disease Center Jump Start Program which pairs genetic counseling students with rare disease foundations. She is also a part of the Young Adult Ambassador Program for SHF. Jillian hopes to help raise awareness for the organization and create educational materials about genetic counseling with ALSP for the public and for providers.
