Natural History Study – Open Sites
December 13, 2021
Great news! The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida, St. Joseph’s Health Care in London Ontario and Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders Center of Boca Raton are open!
The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is now enrolling patients with ALSP and carriers of the CSF1R gene to the Vigil Neuroscience ALSP Natural History Study. The physician investigator at the site is Dr. Zbigniew K. Wszolek.
St. Joseph’s Health Care, London, Ontario is now enrolling patients with ALSP and carriers of the CSF1R gene. The physician investigator at the site is Dr. Elizabeth Finger.
Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders Center of Boca Raton is now enrolling patients with ALSP and carriers of the CSF1R gene. The physician investigator at the site is Dr. Stuart Isaacson.
I realize many of you don’t live in the Jacksonville, Boca Raton, or Ontario area but you can still participate as the study sponsor has funding to cover your travel-related costs.
We believe this study will be critical to the ALSP community as the data collected will contribute to the development of potential future treatments for ALSP. There is no investigational treatment in this trial, but you will continue to receive your usual care for ALSP.
You can find more information on the study through these 3 options:
Go to https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05020743?term=vigil+neuroscience&draw=2&rank=1 or simply go to clinicaltrials.gov and search on ALSP.
